Victoria Rutledge, yoga teacher and death doula, in practice

What’s standing between you and the life you want to live?

It is my calling to usher in a world in which all people have dignity, safety, and belonging. Which means we have to wade through discomfort and growth together, with compassion and non-judgmental self awareness.

Two doorways.
Yoga & grief support.

YOGA

Let’s put down the performance. You don't need special clothes, a special mat, or special crystals to cultivate an awareness of your body moment to moment. Beyond body neutrality or positivity, I guide you back to the basics. You have a body with sense organs that carries you through this world. We can move and sense together, coming back to this moment, again and again.

GRIEF SUPPORT

Your grief is not a burden. If anything, grief is an umbrella term for a myriad of experiences that couldn’t possibly be distilled into one thing. Rage, regret, shame, yearning, depression, guilt, relief…here all of your expressions are welcome. There is no story of loss that is too small. In these 1:1 sessions we process death, loss, transitions, and any other way grief is weighing on your heart. Grief is best held together.

Drop into your body.
And breathe.

Thank you for practicing with me! This is the first of my free monthly classes. Grab a mat, blocks, a blanket, and your body for this twisting practice.

Don’t just take
my word for it.

Practicing with me isn’t meant to be another item to cross off your list. It’s meant to be an opportunity and invitation to relate with more compassion and pleasure with your own body, moment to moment.

Here are some reflections from folks who have practiced alongside me.

“Victoria is truly such a pleasure to practice with. Her messages at the start and end of class help ground this practice. And her flow is paced so wonderfully. I always leave class feeling more connected to myself and others.”

“Victoria’s restorative yoga class was grounded, welcoming, soothing, and just what I needed in the midst of a hard season of life”

“Victoria’s gentle yoga class was pure magic. 10/10. If I was a local I would never miss a week!”

“I wish I could give this class 11/5 stars. Victoria has an incredible capacity for creating a safe container and holding space for grief. I am so grateful she will spend a Friday night doing this for people who need it. Despite the heaviness of the content, I always come away feeling lighter.”
